Momijitei is an Iya Soba (buckwheat noodles) restaurant in a converted traditional farmhouse with a marvelous atmosphere, situated above the Oboke Gorge. The restaurant specialty is handmade Soba noodles made with locally-sourced ingredients. Diners can ask for Udon noodles instead if they prefer (at the same price). In the winter months, the restaurant also serves Oden, which is very popular too. Diners enjoy impressive views of the gorge through the windows as they eat.

吉野川沿いにあるお店。かずら橋からもそんなに遠くありません。隣にはwest-westがあります。吉野川を見ながら食事ができます。お蕎麦以外にも天ぷらやアマゴの塩焼きなどもとても美味しいです。お天気の良い日は近くを散策してみるのも良いでしょう

かずら橋に行く時にランチで訪問、寒い日だったので温かい山かけ蕎麦を注文。刻んだ油揚げと竹輪が入った祖谷そばは麺が太く切れやすい、東北の蕎麦とは違った味わいと食感、箸休めの岩豆腐共々、大変美味しゅうございました。
