This is a long-established soba restaurant founded in 1907 that serves up Morioka’s famous wanko soba and also their original “Nambu Soba Kaiseki.” Guests that eat more than 100 bowls of wanko soba can receive an original Azamaya wanko soba certificate. In addition to soba, they offer a wide selection of other items including colorful bento (Japanese box lunches) that use ingredients in season.

You can enjoy Wanko Soba in this restaurant, which is very famous free refill soba noodles in Japan.
It must be one of the best food entertainment in Japan!

盛岡といえば「わんこそば」ということで、老舗の東家さんに行ってきました。

1階席は、一般的な蕎麦を食べる席、2階席が、わんこそば専用となっています。

平日の18時ごろでしたが、待たずに入ることができました。

わんこそばには、コースが2つあり、自分でマッチ棒を使って、食べた杯数を数えるコースと、食べた杯が積み上げられて、店員さんが杯数を数えてくれるコースです。

初めてわんこそばをいただきました。
とても楽しく、そして想像以上に美味しいお蕎麦でした。
スタッフのお姉さんも明るく楽しく、たまたま相席になった方ともお喋りが弾み、楽しい雰囲気の中、食事を楽しむことができました。食べた数を競うも良し、雰囲気を楽しむも良し、観光と言っても好いようなレストランでした。
また是非チャレンジします!
