Mt. Iimori (飯盛山)
This is the place where the graves of the 19 Byakkotai samurai who fought for the Aizu domain in the Boshin War committed suicide after seeing Tsuruga-jo Castle on fire from this mountain. Mt. Iimori is a low mountain located about two kilometers from the town of Aizu Wakamatsu, and a slop conveyor (moving walkway) at the bottom of the mountain is also available that makes it easy to reach the top.
