This museum is located on the grounds of Himeji Park in Honmachi, Himeji City. It's cutting edge virtual reality theater casts three dimensional projections on a large screen to help visitors learn about Himeji Castle and its castle town. They also have exhibits with items pertaining to Hyogo history and folk customs, as well as one of Japan's leading exhibits of items tied to children's culture, the Irie Collection. There are lectures on history, and they hold programs where visitors dress up or make things by hand.
