Ako Seaside Park

This expansive park is approximately ten minutes by car from the Sanyo Expressway's Ako Interchange. Built on a large former saltpan in 1987, it gives a glimpse into Ako's history. It has lots of entertaining spots for the whole family, including a boat and canoe launch, the Wanpaku Playground with a shipwreck-shaped playscape and obstacle courses, and the Wakuwaku Fun Park with rides like a large Ferris wheel. There's lots of greenery, so it's a great place for a stroll while taking in the birdlife and seasonal flowers. It has a car camping ground too, so you can enjoy the beautiful environment at your leisure.

赤穂市にある広大な公園です。海に面しているので、夏は特に、家族連れには楽しいでしょうね。観覧車などのアトラクションもあるのですが、時間もなくて断念。塩づくり体験など、ユニークな体験プログラムも用意されているそうです。
とにかく広い！世界遺産認定赤穂の塩が味わえる

中に作られている海洋科学館「塩の国」はなかなかおもしろい。昔ならではの塩作りの壮大な設備があったり、塩作りが体験できる。講師の先生がユニークで楽しませてくれる。世界遺産に認定された赤穂の塩作りサラサラで、雑味のない塩が作れる！土日祝限定販売のゆで卵も美味絶妙な塩加減スタッフのみなさんが優しかった。

1月13日（月）塩作りの体験に行きました。祝日だったので、子供連れの家族等10組位が、一緒に海水を煮て、塩をつくりました。キメの細かい塩でした。指導員の方が楽しく、冗談を言って面白い塩作りでした。ここで食べたゆで玉子（しおたま）が、美味しかった。小学生の子供さんには、良い体験になると思いました。
