Statue of Elvis Presley
"A bronze statue standing on Kobe Harborland's Gas Light Street (Anpanman Street) just south of the central gate of JR Kobe Station. Elvis Aaron Presley, known as the ""King of Rock and Roll,"" was an American rock star who died at the age of 42 in 1977. The statue was erected with donations from fans and is one of just three official statues of the musician in the world. Each year in January on his birthday and in August on the anniversary of his death, flowers and messages from far and wide are delivered to the statue and an event is held by fans."
