A confection-themed tourism facility located five minutes drive from the Tannan Sasayamaguchi interchange on the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway. Unique, Tamba-style sweets, such as the popular, Japanese-style black soybean and matcha roll cakes, are sold here and no place else. At the cafe operating out of the renovated former Kobe City Waterfall Station, which was moved to this location, visitors can enjoy seasonal cakes and a cup of tea alongside a view of forest and lake. The German building offers fresh, oven baked pizzas, German beer, and sausages. Visitors can also visit a mountain villa moved to the facility which once belonged to a wealthy merchant, as well as an old-fashioned Japanese-style thatched roof home.

コロナの為か

この時期、毎年ボタン鍋を食べるついでに立ち寄ります。今年はコロナの為か、本館の食事処と、裏のドイツ館は休業中です。昔みたいな賑わいは無いですが、土産物は豊富に揃つてます。

場所は丹南篠山口インターからすぐ。本館では黒豆スイーツや佃煮などのお土産がたくさん売られていました。カフェ・お食事処もありますが、投稿時(2020.4.21)は休業期間内のようです。
広くて見やすいお土産物屋

有馬温泉に1泊して翌日に車で丹波篠山を訪れ、最初にここに来ました。早い時間だったせいか、広い売場に人が少なくてお土産物が見やすかったです。丹波黒枝豆の収穫時期だったので店内でも販売してました。珍しい丹波産の生キクラゲがあったので買ってみました。家でサッと湯通しして食べるとコリコリした歯ごたえで、とても美味しかったです。
