"Ichikawa City History Museum contains displays of the city's history and culture, beginning with the Kamakura period (1185?1333). The exhibits are divided into three categories: ""Seaside,"" ""Waterways and Roads,"" and "" Plateaux,"" with displays of people's lives, and an area with exhibits related to local industries. In addition to a permanent exhibit, ""Local Traditions and People,"" which has displays about people, cultural artifacts, and folkloric events connected with Ichikawa, the museum also sponsors temporary exhibits and opportunities for experiential learning. 入場料が無料なので魅力で、博物館の見学が終わったら、森や緑の中を散歩できます。松戸や市川から、路線バスでも行けます。

市川市の歴史を無料で体験出来る博物館です。祝日に訪れましたが外には人影が無く開いているのか開いていないのかよくわからなかったので中には入らず。すぐ隣の堀之内貝塚公園には家族連れが結構いたのでもう少し人が入るPRが必要なんじゃないかな。

あまり有名ではありませんが、無料で見学出来るのが魅力です。近くには駅がないので、ピクニック気分で、出かけてみても良いと思います。
