Sakuma Dam

The area around this dam is maintained as Sakuma Dam Lake Shinsui Park, and facilities include walking paths, a field with picturesque views, and a daffodil garden. There's also a campground open from May to September. The park is a renowned destination for cherry blossoms, and some 2,200 cherry trees are planted on the grounds. The Yoritomo Cherry Blossom Festival is held at the park in line with its early blossoming Yoritomo cherries, which come into bloom from around mid-February; an additional Cherry Blossom Festival is held when varieties such as the park's Yoshino cherries bloom around mid-March.
