Myokengu Myofukuji Temple

This temple is located in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture and was founded in 1314. The grounds cover a wide area of over 26,000 square meters and has four wisteria trellises, one of which is over 740 years old. The temple bustles with people who come to see the purple flower curtains every year from early April to May when they are at their best. There are illuminations at night, and you can enjoy a view that is different from the daytime.

樹齢750年の「臥龍の藤」が有名ですが、境内にはそのほかに3つ藤棚があります1つは白藤で、見ていて癒されますGWは混みそうだったので1週間前に行ってみました白藤は満開、紫藤は5分から7分咲きで十分楽しめました建物としては拝殿、本殿、客殿がU字方に並んでいます池や滝もあり、藤以外も見どころがあります駐車場は3台＋軽自動車用がありますが、出入りしにくい感じですちなみに、北東に醤油工場...

日蓮大聖人の直弟中老日高上人を開基として１３１４年創立したお寺だそうです。「臥龍の藤」と呼ばれる藤が有名で行ったときにちょうど咲いていました。

県内でも有名な藤の名所です。ホームページに開花状況が出るので便利。今年は特別花が早かったようで、例年見頃となるGWにはほとんど終わっていました。4月末になんとかギリギリ鑑賞してきましたが、見頃だったらかなり素晴らしいだろうというのが感想です。お寺も見応えがあり、花がない時期でも行く価値があり！無料ですが駐車場はほぼ無いと思った方がいいです。
