しごく普通の道の駅で、物産品直売所も小さくてあまり特徴があるようには感じられませんでした。強いてポイントを探せば、塩谷町が船村徹の出身地だとのことで、広場に歌が流れる歌碑が設置されていました。その隣には、同じく同地出身の木下龍太郎の記念碑もありました。「木下龍太郎って誰よ？」という感じですが、演歌の作詞家だそうで、水森かおりの曲を書いたらしいです。

ドライブの途中、休憩がてら立ち寄りました。地場の新鮮な野菜がたくさん売られており、どれもおいしそうでした。

昼時だったので混んでました。そばはこしがあって美味しかったです。天ぷらもサックサックで、良かったです。農産物直売所は充実していました。
