A museum adjoining the childhood home of Ujo Noguchi, known as one of Japan's three greatest children's song writers alongside Hakushu Kitahara and Yaso Saijo. The two-story wooden building standing on a hill commanding a view of the Isohara coast; was damaged by the tsunami resulting from the Great East Japan Earthquake but was restored in 2013. Inside the museum, visitors can view exhibits containing rare items such as manuscripts and hanging scrolls penned in Noguchi's own hand while he was alive.

リニューアルしました。第二展示室では北茨城の歴史関係資料や炭鉱の資料などを展示してます。入館料は一般320円です。

誰もが知っている「シャボン玉」や「七つの子」の作者は磯原の生まれです。記念館は震災で被害を受けましたが最近、改築され新装オープンしたというので久しぶりに出かけてみました。展示はすべて１階に集められ、雨情の足跡が原稿、手紙、写真などから分かりやすく展示されていました。併設されている民俗資料館には「風船爆弾」の資料など珍しい展示がありました。

６月から改修とのことでその準備が始まっており、落ち着いてみることができず、残念でした。平成３０年４月１日からリニューアルオープンだそうです。
