Michi no Eki Road Station

This roadside station is located on Prefectural Route 61 on the Numata Minakami Road which follows the Tone River. It is approximately 6 kilometers from the Kan’etsu Expressway Tsukiyono Interchange. The agricultural direct sales outlet Tsukiyono Harvest sells fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables which are grown by local people so that they can be sold to tourists in this relaxing space. Old-fashioned and highly-reviewed natto made from locally grown soybeans is also produced and sold here. There is a water park with a grassy area and playground equipment, and also Yaze Ruins, a nationally designated historical site from the Jomon Period, where families can relax and play together.

Review of Tsukiyoya Harvest

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating

The pork ramen was quite OK, although it was probably instant broth. The takoyaki were terribly sweet, inedible really. What a shame that the increasing use of sugar destroys the traditional flavours...

Gunma prefecture is synonymous with onsen. Natural hot spring water sources throughout the prefecture have given rise to a series of small onsen towns, each set among luscious mountains. At Kusatsu, Ikaho, and Minakami, traditional indoor and outdoor bathing experiences are served hand in hand with irresistible onsen-themed food, including steam-cooked eggs and custard pudding.
