Gunma University department of engineering commemorative hall

Historical Monument
This historical building is located in Gunma University, Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture, accessible by taking the Orihime Bus 10 minutes' ride from the JR Ryomo Line's Kiryu Station. It was built as a school building of the Kiryu High School's dyeing and weaving school in 1916, and relocated in 1972. It is a wooden building made from Japanese cedar wood. British Tudor style costumes can be seen decorating the gables and entrance arches. It was designated as a National Tangible Cultural Property in 1998, along with the engineering department's guardhouse and the former Kiryu High School's dyeing and weaving department's main entrance.
