Nakahara Chuya Memorial Museum

This is a memorial museum located in Yamaguchi City, the birthplace of the poet, Chuya Nakahara. It has been built on the site of the Nakahara clinic, Chuya’s childhood home. The museum exhibits manuscripts and personal belongings of Chuya Nakahara. There is a permanent exhibition where visitors can view books on the first floor, and visitors can enjoy CDs, a document search room and special exhibitions on the second floor.

展示品など多すぎず、ちょうどよく感じました。この時代の文芸作家たちとの交流、彼の人生の経過も書かれていて、作品と言うより彼の人生について知ることが出来たと思います。

金子みすずさんと共に山口県を代表する有名な方です。3月の3連休に湯田温泉に宿泊した際訪れました。人は少なく、ゆっくりと作品を観賞できました。

山口県の湯田温泉といえば中原中也で有名です。リニューアルしてからとてもお洒落な外観になり、記念館の手前には椅子があり休憩スペースもあります。入場料も320円で、展示スペースも広めで、内容が充実していて見応えがありました。中原中也の詩は時が経っても、胸に響くなぁと思いました。
