Kokeshka Kamakura
Located five minutes from Enoden’s Yuigahama Station, this shop located across from the Yoshiya Nobuko Memorial Museum specializes in Japan’s traditional kokeshi dolls and Russian matryoshka dolls. It was produced by Numata Genki, an artist who is a photographer and poet. Besides Japan’s traditional kokeshi dolls and Russian matroshka dolls, they also feature unique, original products such as kokeshka, painted by Japanese kokeshi artistans in the same area that produces Russian matryoshka dolls.
