This is a 15-minute walk from Enoden line’s Enoshima Station. On the road up to Enoshima Shrine, it has been picked up by various media outlets as a shop offering whole roast octopus senbei (rice crackers). The famous “whole roast octopus senbei” are rice crackers made from two-three plump press-cooked octopus. One can see the high temperature senbei press at work, and they are so popular as gourmet walking snacks that there will often be a queue of tourists lining up to get some.

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
