若くして他界した元広島の津田投手の名前を冠するスタジアムであり、津田投手のモニュメントもある。今では、アマチュア野球の試合がよく行われているが、近くに小さい子供用の大きな遊具もあり、休日に行ったらば、付近は子供連れでも賑わっていた。
