20代の若さで亡くなった夏目雅子のお墓があるのがこちらのお寺です。山口観光で防府を訪れた際に立ち寄りました。お寺自体はこれといって特筆すべき物はないと思いました。

桑山公園の麓にあります。夏目雅子の墓は特筆するものではありませんが、知らないで訪ねて発見するとたしかにびっくります。山門や鐘などもわざわざ訪ねるほどではないです。ただ、桑山公園を訪ねた折に立ち寄ってみる分にはいいかもしれません。
