• Wonderful place to see the red crowned cranes

  Theres an observation area next to a large field, where the migrating red crowned cranes land, eat, and mate. Easy to see these cranes, and photograph them. It was a great experience.

  Able to see the Red Crane at the Kushiro Sanctuary. This sanctuary house about twenty birds that have found a home in Kushiro. Nice exhibits and history of the cranes.
