Kanagawa Prefecture is often included in the itinerary of seasoned Japan travelers for its capital city, Yokohama, and with good reason too – it’s a diverse city that blends various cultures alongside ultra-modern architecture and nice urban city views.

The prefecture is often overlooked as a potential option to escape the city, be it Yokohama or Tokyo, and explore the various hiking trails it has on offer. A handful of easy-to-navigate trails that are suitable as one day trips from the Greater Tokyo Area make for a fantastic option to get into nature, and make the most of the countryside.
