Ginza Sony Park Redevelopment Season 2

An experimental, ever-changing park with a series of subterranean attractions, Ginza Sony Park began its season 2 of their redevelopment from October 2020. The new season is expected to last until September 2021, transforming the park into a more “flatter” park in the middle of the city than before. Until the park closes in 2021 to start the construction of the new Ginza Sony Park building, season 2 of the redevelopment opens 3 new shops and closes the ones before and will host a number of events in collaboration with different artists and creators.

    Café & Shops

Season 1 of the redevelopment featured a couple of noteworthy cafes and shops, but in exchange to those, 3 new shops have opened. On B1, Gen Gen An Phantom, a modern version of a "teahouse" that creates new ways to enjoy tea leaves through the fusion of tradition and modern culture, opened in November 2020. Unlike the conventional sweets for tea, the store takes a new attempt to provide chocolates and western sweets that match with the traditional Japanese tea.

Kamapan & Friends, a small grocery store which began as part of a Food Hub Project operating a farm, cafeteria, and a grocery store in Kamiyama-cho, Tokushima prefecture on the island of Shikoku has opened in B2 of the Ginza Sony Park. Under the slogan of "local production, local food," the grocery store offers additive free items ranging from vegetables, bread, seasonings, beverages and more which are gathered from around Japan. Inside the store, ice cream and sandwiches are on sale which can be eaten on spot too.

On the lowest floor, B4, as a new business of pizza slice, a popular pizza place in Daikanyama, Tokyo opened a new seafood fastfood stand, Seafool. The shop offers finger foods like burgers, calamari, and other seafood dishes along with their speciality, the bento box which is aimed for office workers in Ginza area to take it to their office for their lunch.
