The Niwaroji pavilions are group of rooms with different characteristics. While all the rooms have beautiful courtyards, several rooms are maisonette type with living room on the first floor and bedroom on the second floor. During the cold months of the year, the one and only room with the fireplace makes the stay extra special.

With all the comfort inside the pavilions it might be hard to step out into the common areas, although at Hoshinoya it is well worth exploring past these private edens. At Kasuke, the resort’s main restaurant, guests can enjoy the finest Japanese cuisine that goes beyond the conventional yet maintains the tradition of taking advantage of seasonal ingredients. Keeping within the theme, the view from the restaurant is pure nature. After savouring chef Eiji Inake’s cuisine, guests can step outside and enjoy afternoon tea with the magical view of Hoshinoya’s courtyard.
