The small museum is run by real Ainu, and is the perfect place to learn about a very important slice of Hokkaido’s history. The museum is English friendly and built in the traditional Ainu style, and is actually the oldest historical museum about Ainu, running since 1916 when it was built by Kawamura Kaneto, an Ainu chief.
