1) Get some peace: Come out of Harajuku Station, and before hitting the crowds get some time to reflect with a walk through Meiji Shrine.
2) Now that you’re calm, get the opposite of that with a walk down the bustling Takeshita Street with it’s boutiques and packed crowds. If it’s too much, hit up a backstreet to get around the people, but careful of dead ends!
3) Explore Urahara: This is where it’s more interesting for men to shop, with classic street brands like BEAMS and Neighborhood, but still more than enough for women as well.
4) Lunch: Have some okonomiyaki at Sakura-tei, which is right behind the famous Design Festa complex (which is free to get in). Check out some independent art, and then cook your lunch on a grill on the outside terrace. http://www.sakuratei.co.jp/en/
4) Continue up the backstreets, parallel to Omotesando Dori, where you’ll find small boutiques tucked away on the side streets. Make your way up the hill to Aoyama, and cross Aoyama Dori.
5) Have a pineapple snack: You’ve walked a fair bit, so treat yourself to a pineapple cake at SunnyHills, the Taiwanese cake shop inside of an elaborate wood structure in the back of Minami-Aoyama. http://www.sunnyhills.com.tw/index/ja-jp/Tokyo Shopping Private Tour by Chartered Car
