COMMISSARY
COMMISSARY is a food hall that opened in September 2020 in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, offering eat-in and takeout food on-site. They have 5 vendors, a cafe, bakery, pizza, tacos and craft beer. Visitors can order from any or all of the venues, then choose a seat and eat on spot. The interior looks like a renovated warehouse with white tiles and chrome finishings. Keep in mind that most of the venues are cashless, so remember to bring your cards.

BONUS TRACK
Bonus Track is a new commercial facility with cafes and small boutiques within walking distance from Shimokitazawa. Newly opened in October 2020 as a new form of “regional publicity” for private businesses and artists, the facility will be a great location to visit to find things that are rarely sold at chain stores.

gicca
On July 1, 2020, gicca Ikedayama pre-opened in Meguro, Tokyo. The store consists of three floors: the first floor is lined with cakes, deli, sundries and groceries, the second floor is a restaurant, a café and a bar and the third floor is an event space.
The store name, gicca literally means “parents house” in Japanese where the owner wished visitors to feel at home while at the store so they got its name. At gicca, food is prepared with no additives or chemical seasonings. There are multinational menus offered from Thai to Korean to Singaporian food. Because of its mixture of culture, the interior is decorated with items from different countries including a Western-style bar counter, a Japanese style kitchen and cactus and other plants resembling South America.1st floor grocery space

THE UPPER
On the rooftop of the newly completed Marunouchi Terrace Tower, a walking distance from Tokyo Station, a restaurant, THE UPPER opened in November 2020. A new six-storied co-working space that fosters creativity and innovation, Eat Play Works opened in Hiroo, near Shibuya in July 2020. The first two floors, which are open to both the public and to the members, are occupied by restaurants offering Japanese and international cuisine. There are 17 different restaurants each with their own distinct type of cuisine including ramen, Mexican, Vietnamese, and American.

The Bridge
Inside the new Harajuku Station building there is a spacious Sarutahiko Coffee The Bridge café which offers plentiful seating and views of Harajuku along with their original coffee. The delicate aroma of coffee drifts through the cafe while visitors can enjoy themselves with a cup of coffee that goes along well with their original sweets or can dig through and shop from a wide selection of Sarutahiko goods. The interior is decorated in a Japanese style with shoji screens and large windows.
The cafe’s unique name, “The Bridge” is said to be derived from the Jingu Bridge and the Olympic Bridge right next to the station.
