A new global flagship store, “UNIQLO TOKYO” has opened in Ginza at Marronnier Gate Ginza on June 19th. The new store is an expansion and a renovation of the former UNIQLO Marronnier Gate Ginza and is dedicated to the brand’s LifeWear line. Inside of the new 4-story flagship store is a multi-story atrium with a muted framework via a network of beams and columns for visitors to see the showcased products from every level. There are a range of high-quality, functional, affordable, and innovative fashion for men, women, children and, babies at this new flagship store.

The first floor of the store features the LifeWear square where “LifeWear is the UNIQLO commitment to offer well-designed clothing that meets everyone's needs for daily wear” the company said in a statement. Recent popular items like face masks using the same fabric used in the brand’s popular underwear, AIRism is on display here too. Similar to UNIQLO PARK and UNIQLO HARAJUKU, there is a fresh flower sold at the flower shop to color and design “everyday life” as denoted in the LifeWear concept.

The second floor has the world’s largest full lineup of women’s clothes collection including UNIQLO TOKYO’s pre-sale items. From casual to office style, on this floor, anyone can find their suitable clothes best fit to their needs. Like the new Harajuku store, UNIQLO TOKYO also introduced the digital feature, StyleHint where customers can see different outfits posted by others through the touch screens. And using the StyleHint outfit suggestion app on smartphones, customers can select a displayed image that they are interested in by tapping the screen. If you have the app, it will not only show a little map of the store pop up on the screen with a map showing you where to buy that item you selected, but you can scan the QR code to open the same map on your phone to search for the product even if you don’t have the app. It’s a pretty cool futuristic system! And what more exiting for the fans of tennis is that there is an area where the store displays an autograph and a game wear of 6 global ambassadors including Roger Federer and Kei Nishikori!

These styles are in collaboration with different artists and the display change frequently.

The fourth floor is for kids and baby clothes and there is a play area for them to hang out while their parents’ shop. Also, there is a UTme! booth where you can customize (to a certain extent) t-shirts and tote bags with special designs in collaboration with a popular local store in Ginza, which these are only available at this store.
