The Flight of Dreams is an airplane theme park that houses the first Boeing 787, complete with exhibits that airplane fanatics will surely drool over.
Plus, there’s a food court offering dining specialties of Seattle set in a lovely space that looks like it’s straight out its namesake American city.
It’s the ideal place to wait for a flight at Chubu International Airport, centrally located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

Fly with 787 Dreamliner

The main attraction is the first Boeing 787, which has actually been in-flight service.
TeamLab, the creative group gaining a lot of attention around the world, has put together interactive digital exhibits that are available in a paid area of the theme park.

Once you enter the facility, head to the first-floor ticket counter and take care of admission.
You can reserve tickets beforehand and gain access to the park without standing in line, if you want to save yourself some time.

You can enter the cockpit on the Plane Tours.

Of the many digital exhibits available, you have to see the “Fly with 787 Dreamliner” show.
It incorporates the 787 and theme park into a dazzling display of images and sounds.
If you view it from the fourth-floor Observation Space, then the distinction between the building’s walls and the floor disappears, giving the sensation that you’re actually flying with the airplane.

Nighttime Cityscape Foodcourt: Seattle Terrace

Right next to the 787 you’ll find a plaza decorated with foreign street lamps and lined with restaurants.
This is the Seattle Terrace, based on, you guessed it, the American city of Seattle.
It’s exhilarating to be able to look up and see the plane’s wing just overhead, making for novel scenery.

The windowless terrace is illuminated by soft neon lights for plenty of atmospheres.

They are generously spaced and feature airport musts like power outlets.

The food court isn’t just nice to look at, either.
The restaurant lineup for the terrace centers around American cuisine specific to Seattle.
Take a chance and order whatever catches your eye, then kick back and enjoy your delicious meal while checking out the massive 787 nearby.

Beecher’s Handmade Cheese has its main branch in Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market, and it’s a wildly popular cheese shop.
Order the Mac & Cheese for piping hot macaroni covered in creamy, flavorful cheese.
The cheese’s rich and slightly salty taste makes it almost criminally delicious.
The main location in Seattle is usually swamped with visitors, but this hideaway location lets you order right away.
The gooey Grilled Cheese Sandwich is also highly recommended.
