Mo-Mo-Paradise: All-you-can-eat Shabu-shabu in Tokyo
The much loved Japanese shabu-shabu and sukiyaki specialty restaurant “Mo-Mo-Paradise”, which has been in existence for over 20 years in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho (and also has about 50 stores internationally, mainly in Southeast Asia), recently opened a new foreign tourist friendly store in Shinjuku Station’s East Exit area at the end of November this year（interestingly, “MO-MO” in the restaurant’s name is the way Japanese refer to the moo of a cow).
Mo-Mo-Paradise specializes in genuine shabu-shabu and sukiyaki with a refined taste that can’t be found elsewhere, and this newly opened branch has gained popularity due to one secret in particular, i.e. all-you-can-eat for 100 minutes!
The Shop has a Soothing Japanese Atmosphere
The restaurant’s interior has been designed with the comfort of adult customers in mind, and combined with its traditional Japanese feel, creates a relaxing vibe where you can take your time in experiencing the delights found in a menu that uses Japanese ingredients in addition to shabu-shabu and sukiyaki.
A nice feature of the restaurant is the multilingual touch panel (available in 5 languages, including English) which functions as both menu ordering system and as an indicator of waiting time for admission.

To accompany the shabu-shabu and sukiyaki, you can also choose one soup from a total of four types, including two variations of “Miso Paradise”, and the mild flavor of “Sesame Soymilk” (exclusive to “Momo Paradise”).

The courses available are priced at 3000 yen, 5000 yen or 7000 yen and are split according to the grade of the meat.
Whilst you certainly won’t be left wanting by choosing the cheapest “Standard Course” as you’ll be able to enjoy various types of beef and pork, the recommended course is the “Upper Course” which features black cow beef, which will give you the rare chance to enjoy the taste of meat that is unique to Japanese black cattle.
If coming to Japan and authentic “Wagyu” in on your bucket list, the “Special Course” is recommend as it includes soft A5 rank wagyu with ample amounts of fat.
Not only is it delicious, but the generous size of each piece of meat will likely exceed your expectations!
Please consider ordering it to fulfil your Japanese wagyu dreams!

It’s definitely also worth mentioning that all courses include all-you-can-eat items such as vegetables, salads, rice, udon, Chinese noodles, and ice cream.
Therefore, it’s strongly recommended to visit this restaurant on an empty stomach!
Select a Menu from the Touch Panel
The Shinjuku East Exit restaurant extends over two floors of the building it resides in (3rd and 4th floors), but the touch panels are only available on the 4th floor.
Therefore, if possible, it’s best to find a seat on the 4th floor to utilize benefits such as ease of ordering by using the five languages touch panel.

Ready, set, go! All-you-can-eat for 100 minutes!
Once your order is complete, it’s time to start your 100 minute all-you-can-eat indulgence!
Let’s take a look at the shabu-shabu special course.
The staff will firstly bring the pot and vegetables to your table, and once the soup is warm they will bring the meat.
The staff is available to cook the meat for you, so please ask if you need assistance.
Of course, you have the option to cook it yourself if you are confident in doing so.
The main thing to remember is not to overcook the shabu-shabu i.e. swish the meat pieces lightly and slowly through the broth about 5 times.
Incidentally, this action of grabbing the meat with chopsticks and swishing it around in the soup-filled pan is known as “shabu-shabu” in Japanese-hence that term being used as the name for this particular style of cooking.
There are two types of dipping sauce: ponzu and sesame.
For the first taste of the meat we recommend the light ponzu, as the combination of the original taste of the Wagyu beef and the sour taste of ponzu is a definite winner!
Please enjoy the experience of eating endless shabu-shabu!

Wagyu is bigger than I had imagined.
100 minutes might seem like a long time, but time flies by quickly so make the most of every moment i.e. once you’ve savoured the taste of the main meats, you can take a look at ordering other foods from Mo-Mo-Paradise’s side menu.
Amongst the side menu items, tsumire (minced meat balls) are a highlight, and you can you can choose from 3 types of tsumire (beef, pork, and duck), and mochi Chinese noodles are also a dish well worth trying!
The side menu items are included as part of your all-you-can-eat menu, so please enjoy them to your heart's (and stomach’s!) content.
You can adjust the heat with this button below the table.
If you order additional items, you’ll also have access to all-you-can-eat vegetables and salads. This is self-service, and is also available to you for unlimited visits during your 100 minutes.
Maybe start off with a nice big plate of vegies, and then come back for more and more!
A wide range of colorful vegetables to choose from
Enjoy some salad!
If you selected the drink bar option, you’ll find a wide variety of drinks available, such as soft drinks, oolong tea, orange juice, and a range of coffees and lattes.
The drink bar is also self-service and is priced very reasonably at just 400 yen for unlimited non-alcoholic drink refills.
There is also an all-you-can-drink liquor course a, so please request that option if so desired.
You’ll be able to add various flavours and adjust the taste of the meat to your liking by taking advantage of the four spices available to you on the table.
Try adding pepper and other spices to make your meat taste even more appetising!
Ponzu : ground pepper + chopped garlic
Sesame : ground pepper + chirizu vinegar (vinegar, soy sauce, chili and citrus juice)
From left : Chirizu vinegar, Ground pepper, Chopped garlic, Fried onion
Keep in mind that whilst the all-you-can-eat lasts for 100 minutes, the last order for meat and side menu dishes is 15 minutes before time elapses.
Be sure to get that last order in on-time so your stomach won't regret it!
Last but not least, don't forget your desserts, i.e. ice cream and sorbet, and yes they are all-you-can-eat too!
The four flavors are classic Japanese flavors (Uji Matcha, Azuki, Milk and Yuzu), and all are rich and delicious and all worth tasting.
* Flavor varies according to the season.
You can also refresh by eating ice cream in the middle of shabu-shabu.
Please enjoy the unlimited delights of Japanese black beef and Wagyu beef at “Mo-Mo-Paradise”, which will undoubtedly become your paradise for shabu-shabu and sukiyaki in Japan.
