The souvenirs we’ve chosen to highlight are priced within the 100 to around 1000 yen range, and your one stop shop for most of these souvenirs is the “Grand Kiosk Nagoya” at Nagoya station, which is open from 6:15 to 22:00.

    Yoikotopan and Yoitsubuan,Yoikoshian (Yoikotopan)

“Yoikotopan” is a popular specialty bread shop in Nagoya, with the main store near Fukiage Station and a takeout shop at the Meitetsu Nagoya Station.

A trip to the store will put you on the right track towards making your own Nagoya specialty “sweet red bean paste toast” at home, as along with bread Yoikotopan also sells additive-free red bean pastes, “Yoitsubuan (mashed sweet red bean paste)” and “Yoikoshian (smooth sweet red bean paste)”; both can be purchased for around 500 yen each.
All you need to make the toast complete is butter!

    Ogura Butter(Kojima Food)

Ogura butter is a jam made from the combination of sweet red bean paste and butter.
Ogura toast (sweet red bean paste toast) was originally a local delicacy in Nagoya, but it gradually spread to other areas of Japan.
Normally the toast requires using red bean paste and butter separately, but Kojima’s solution was to combine the two into one convenient product.

Even though it’s known as butter, Ogura butter has enough red beans in the mix to allow the red bean sensation to permeate.
You can buy a jar of the butter to use at home for around 600 yen.
