Pokémon Center Yokohama changed locations in late 2018, but the new shop on the 8th floor of the Marui City building is only 5 minutes from the East Entrance of Yokohama Station.
The theme of a port city is present throughout, and there’s even a game space where you can check out special Pokémon arcade releases. The pictures of Kyogre bursting through the ceiling alone are worth the trip, so have your pose ready.

Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO
This section is for the Pokémon GO trainers. We’ll go over not only the best spots, or “nests,” to get your hands on those rare and legendary Pokémon, but also the locations that have the highest density of Pokémon Gyms and Raids.
You can find most of the Pokémon nests in parks, often along the water, showing the designers’ wish to get people outside in green spaces for exploration of their own.
The Gyms and Raids are located in dense population areas, so you can take part in the social aspect of the game and get involved in the community. -

Pokémon GO Paradise
新宿Set just south of Shinjuku Station’s West Exit, right in front of Yodobashi Camera, lies what’s known as Pokémon Plaza. At this location you can grab a seat on a bench while you catch Pokémon and collect items, so it’s a great place for trainers to camp out.
And you’ll want to after hearing why Pokémon Plaza is so popular in the GO community. There’s an extremely dense concentration of Pokéstops here, and since so many trainers come to play Pokémon GO, Lure Modules (items that attract more Pokémon for everyone around in 30-minute bursts) are almost constantly in effect.
For those looking to gain experience and level up, this is the place to be. Special events at Pokémon Plaza are particularly crowded, though.Front of Yodobashi Camera

Gym and Raid Spots
#1: Around Akihabara Station
Around Akihabara Station
There are the most gyms in a 500 meter radius around Yamanote Line stations, and Akihabara is no different, with 19 Pokémon Gyms. On Sunday afternoons the roads near Akihabara are closed to cars, making it a great spot to relax and wander through the streets playing Pokémon GO.
#2: Around Shibuya Station
Hachikō Statue
Shibuya boasts the highest concentration of Pokémon Gyms in front of a station. Starting with the famous Hachikō Statue, you can battle it out at gyms located at the Moyai Statue, Shibuya Hikarie Mall, and Shibuya 109. Pokémon has never seemed so fashionable.
-
#3: Around Ikebukuro Station
Ikebukuro West Entrance Park
There are also plenty of gyms around Ikebukuro Station, so you’ll have ample members to fight in the Raid battles with you. If you leave from the East Exit of the station, then you’ll run into some pretty unique gyms, like the Owl Statue (Fukurō-zō).
While you’re in the area be sure to head over to the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo to get in a little shopping before you head back for the day.#4: Around Harajuku Station
Takeshita Street
Next up is Harajuku, with 14 total gyms. Harajuku’s famous Takeshita Street has 3 gyms all lined up for you, so you can play Pokémon Go while getting in your sightseeing and fashion shopping.
Harajuku is easy walking distance from green areas like Meiji Jingu and Yoyogi Park to give you a break from the hustle and bustle of the city when you’re ready.
Ueno, Uguisudani, Otsuka, Shinbashi, and Tamachi are also tied for 4th, with 14 gyms for each of them. -

Most Relaxing Park for Pokémon GO
Hibiya Park
Hibiya Park is our recommendation for a laid-back location to play Pokémon GO. The winding paths and tranquil ponds give you a great space to stretch your legs, and there are also areas that have high concentrations of Pokéstops.
You might even run into one of the park’s periodic events to add some spice to the Pokémon life. In either case, there’s plenty of shade and Pokémon to catch, so take your time strolling through the park for a nice afternoon of active gaming.Pokémon Master
