Narita Airport Restaurant Guide

If you’re departing Japan from the Narita International Airport, you might be looking to grab a bite to eat before your flight. In this guide, we’ll introduce the various restaurants, cafes and fast-food joints that are available at the airport in Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

Most of the restaurants are located on the 4th and 5th floors of Terminal 1’s Central Building for the convenience of travelers.

Aside from dining here, you can also purchase packs of premium rice to take home with you as souvenirs.

The Narita branch’s signature meal is Unagi Hitsumabushi-style Dashichazuke, which features delicious barbecue grilled eel fillet.

It’s hidden away and a bit of a secret but worth finding for its seasonal ingredients and views of the planes com-ing and going.

    Alternatively, you can pick up hearty sandwiches (including vegetarian options) from the airport’s Subway store, with the bread baked fresh on site. This is a good option for people who are short on time and racing to catch their flight.

It’s a good option if you’ve got a long wait for your flight and want to settle in somewhere to kill some time.

    This restaurant specializes in vegetarian and vegan food, with no meat, seafood, eggs or dairy products used in their dishes. But the signature dish here is Tantanmen, a spicy noodle bowl from Sichuan that comes with a sesame-based broth and soy “meat”.

You can se-lect your choice of flavor, such as miso or soy sauce, with a rich flavor that gives tonkotsu ramen a whole new appeal. The Narita Airport branch is open from 7:30am in the morning, so you grab one final bowl of ramen even if you have an early flight.

    Terminal 3 is dedicated to low-cost carriers and has far fewer restaurants com-pared to Terminals 1 and 2. However, you can still find a few places serving typ-ical Japanese food, such as ramen and sushi.

    This sushi restaurant serves Edo-style sushi and is the sister store to Sushi Kyo-tatsu in Narita Airport’s Terminal 1. If you don’t have time to eat in, you can also grab their sushi to take away and enjoy onboard your flight.

There are a range of tempura items available as toppings, as well as soba noodles if you’re after something different.
