This area used to be a residential area for Western merchants and diplomats, and it still has an affluent and peaceful ambience. This new entertainment building just opened in March 2019 and is directly connected to the East Exit of Yokohama Station. They offer interesting activities for all ages! The first floor is a gourmet street that is designed to make visitors love Yokohama by eating local food. The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum is a fun place to visit and not just to eat ramen. The entire interior of the building has an interesting atmosphere that harks back to the old days of Japan! There is a nostalgic candy store (which used to be all over Japan) and there is a circuit where you can play slot-car races! The museum also has an exhibition space where you can learn about the history of ramen. And of course their ramen shops are wonderful.
