Government advisories and information regarding travel to Japan
Any foreign visitors who have visited Hubein and Zhejiang Provinces, 14 days prior to arrival in Japan (effective from 13 February 2020, at 0:00 a.m.JST) or with Chinese passport issued by these provinces will not be permitted into Japan unless under special circumstances for the time being.
Foreigners who have stayed in the areas listed below within 14 days prior their arrival in Japan can also not enter Japan.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government Call Center
Bureau of Social Welfare and Public Health, Tokyo Metropolitan Government has launched a multilingual coronavirus hotlines giving advice on how to prevent the virus, how to take action when such symptoms appear, and other things related to the virus. Prevention of the virus
Masks are more less sold out at most stores in Japan, even drug stores, and the shelves at the stores are often empty. Before planning a trip to Japan, it is strongly recommended to buy boxes of surgical masks in your country and bring it upon your travel. While travelling, to help prevent the spread of the diseases, things that you could do is to wash your hands frequently, avoid close contact with people who are sick, stay home when you are sick, use a tissue instead of hand to cover your cough or sneeze and immediately throw the tissue in the trash.
