When to get to the airport
Haneda is very efficient at processing departing travelers, and you'll likely find yourself inside the gates before you realize it. Still, as always it's best to arrive two hours before your departure time. There are very nice options for eating and shopping at Haneda, so there's no such thing as arriving too early.

Depending on where you are, most modes of transport to the airport will take 30-40 minutes, and as little as 24 minutes if you're leaving from Shinagawa. Just use the NAVITIME for Japan Travel app's "Route Serach" function in advance to find the best options for your location.

How to go: Train or Bus?
Being closer to the city, taking a train to Haneda isn't a big deal, but if you now find yourself leaving Japan with twice as much stuff as when you arrived, you might want to consider taking a Airport Limousine Bus just so you don't have to carry your things through crowded train stations.
Otherwise, your two main options from the center of Tokyo are the Keikyu Airport Line and the Tokyo Monorail. Most likely you will need to take an initial train to these departure points (Hamamatsucho or Shinagawa) so give yourself enough time to switch trains with your bags. -

Dealing with Luggage
Unlike the express trains to Narita, the trains to Haneda are more crowded and don't have reserved seats. That can mean a bit of hectic (albeit short) trip managing your things. You may even need to stand up depending on what time you leave, so please be aware. If this is an issue we suggest taking a taxi ($$) or Limousine Bus.

Tips:
-Did you purchase an e-money card in the Tokyo area during your trip? You can refund a Pasmo card at the Keikyu office at Haneda, but you can only refund Suica cards at Haneda that you purchased through Tokyo Monorail. If you have a normal Suica through JR East please refund it at Hamamatsucho or other JR offices before going to Haneda.
'-Don't want to deal with luggage? You can have it sent to the airport using a service like Kuroneko Yamato for a reasonable cost.
