Every night, about 1,000 rounds of fireworks are launched from the Matsubara embankment to vividly color the night sky. There are few obstructions around the launching site, allowing you to see the fireworks from a relatively wide area. The nearby Nagisa Park is an especially popular viewing spot. During the nights of the display, there is a viewing cruise (reservations required) to watch the fireworks from the sea and many lodging facilities that offer special fireworks viewing plans, bringing crowds of many spectators every year.
