    Goya is an Izakaya (bar-restaurant) located adjacent to Prefectural Highway 78 on Miyako-jima (Miyako Island). The menu features mainly Okinawan dishes, made using vegetables, meat, fish and seafood produced locally on Miyako-jima. Every evening, there are live performance of Shima-uta (traditional Okinawan folk music) and Okinawan sanshin (shamisen) playing, enabling visitors to enjoy both Miyako-jima cuisine and local culture at the same time. The Goya-Hanare restaurant, which also serves local cuisine (including snapping turtle), is located along the same stretch of road.

Tuva Rama offers an impressive range of Okinawan dishes made using local ingredients; the regular evening dinner menu alone has over 60 different items. For lunch, the restaurant has a range of set meals, including Okinawan Soba noodles and Chanpuru (an Okinawan stir-fried dish). Kishimoto Shokudo’s second branch, the Yaedake Branch, is located to the east of the main branch on Prefectural Highway 84 near the entrance to Yae-dake (Mt. Yae). Using the same recipes as the main branch, the Yaedake Branch serves Okinawan Soba noodles with full-bodied noodles prepared using charcoal, and a simple broth, as well as Jushi (Okinawan rice porridge). As at the Main Branch, the entire menu basically consists of variations on these two items (diners can choose what size Soba noodles they want).

The restaurant’s Okinawan Soba noodles, which combine a thick pork-based broth with a touch of garlic with noodles that are boiled to a firm consistency, have been popular on Miyako-jima for many years; the restaurant is also famous for the brown sugar ice-candy that is served after the noodles (in the case of small-sized portions of Miyako Soba noodles, only for children).

The café’s pancakes are cooked to order; a range of different toppings are available, including ice cream, scrambled eggs, etc. Visitors can also enjoy coffee made using beans from Italian coffee firm caffe CAGLIALI, which are only available at 10 cafes in Japan.

    It was hard to choose just one thing on the menu! I decided to try the Eggs Benedict and was blown away! The food, views, and friendly staff are top notch. Give the latte a try too!

The café’s main draw is its Xuehua Bing desserts, which provide a different taste experience to conventional ices or Kakigori shaved ices, but the café also serves Taiwanese coffee, Taiwanese Oolong tea, and Chinese rice porridge, etc. Despite being located close to the bustling Kokusai Street, the interior of Xuehua no Sato Naha provides a quiet, relaxing environment.

    国際通りから少し入った場所にお店があります。駐車場はありませんが付近にコインパーキングや時間貸し駐車場があるので不都合はありません。 フワフワで味の付いたカキ氷は他では中々味わうことができません。 過去に何度か利用した際にはプレーンのものを注文しましたが、今回は期間限定「森のくまさん」を注文しました。メープルシロップが幸せな気分にさせてくれました。
