    加計呂麻島の表玄関、瀬相港にたつ市場。土産物だけでなく、村人相手の野菜なども売っている。サーターアンダギーもあったが、たぶん島のおばぁが手作りで出品しているものではなかろうか（裏の商品説明の紙には個人名もあった）。また島みかんは温州ミカンのようだが種がいっぱい入っていたのがかえって新鮮。多くのものが島で作られたもののよう。パパイヤの漬物、にんにくのつけものなども購入。

The always-busy shop is a popular place for locals to do their everyday grocery shopping as well as a place for tourists to check out rare ingredients unique to the island. Originally a fruit and vegetable market, it is especially notable for an excellent fruit selecting that includes shima bananas, dragon fruits, fragrant passion fruits, and more. The seafood section's showcases are stocked with whole colorful fish that customers can buy as-is or have prepared by the market's staff.

Over 100 active volcanoes across Kagoshima make it one of the Japan's most exciting prefectures.
