    A hot spring hotel located a 15-minute drive from Sendai Station on the JR Kagoshima Main Line. Visitors are welcomed by sincere hospitality and gorgeous scenery framed by the grand Sendai River. The hotel’s Tenjin no Yu bathhouse has spacious Japanese and Western style baths as well as an aromatic wooden private reservable bath. The bathhouse is constantly supplied “kakenagashi” style from a sodium - hydrogen carbonate spring whose waters are said to treat nerve pain and rheumatism. Also known for their skin beautifying properties, women are flocking to this bathhouse as well. With a sauna, walking bath, and other multipurpose bathing facilities, the bathhouse is also replete with an aesthetic treatment salon and training gym. The hotel’s Ume no Sato restaurant’s traditional kaiseki course cuisine is also popular.

    This hot spring bathhouse is located along the upper reaches of the Sendai River, one of Japan's largest genjibotaru firefly (Luciola cruciata) habitats.     午前中から地元の方が多数訪れる公衆温泉。男女別の浴室には大きめな湯舟がひとつ、湯温４１．５度の良くあたたまる温泉です。源泉かけ流しの無色透明の湯で泉質は弱アルカリ性単純温泉。２０分ほど入浴、入浴後は汗が流れ落ちました。区外者の入浴料は１５０円です。

    熊本県水俣市と鹿児島県出水市の県境のほんの少し鹿児島県側、国道3号線の県境を越えたところから海岸方面へ進んだ先の老人福祉にある温泉施設です。 ツルツル感のある温泉がかけ流しで使われていました。浴感もしっかり。 露天風呂から見える有明海の景色も良かったです。

    南からナビで道に迷い線路側から行きました。入浴料３５０円の日帰り温泉です。色がきれいなオレンジに近い濃黄色の温泉でした。二つに仕切られた浴槽で中浴槽は熱めの４４度以上の高温、大浴槽は４１．５度ほどの気持ち良い湯でした。手前に水風呂があります。体で効能を感じる濃厚温泉で、とても温まるイイ湯で入浴後は汗がなかなか引きませんでした。泉質はナトリウム-炭酸水素塩・塩化物温泉です。

    市比野温泉にある共同浴場のひとつ。保健福祉センターの建物内にあり、入口は道路から裏側にあるため、わかりにくいです。下之湯に比べるとややぬるめ。地元の方が普段づかいされています。

    温泉に入ってその後にビールでも飲みながら歓談するための施設なのでしょうが、わざわざこの為に遠方から訪れるだけの施設でもないので利用客は自ずから地元のお年寄りに限定されるようです。 地元のお客様との会食に利用しましたが、ありきたりの宴会メニューでした。本当に今後の事を考えているのか疑問です。
