A classic “yoshoku” Japanese-style Western food restaurant. An old-fashioned case filled with plastic models of the restaurant’s dishes stands in front of the establishment. Inside, the restaurant sports a retro “American” decor. The menu consists of such staple “yoshoku” dishes as hamburg steak; breaded, deep fried shrimp; spaghetti Napolitan; and omelet rice. The restaurant’s signature dish is its “black bear” kurokuma shaved ice, a contrast to the “white bear” shirokuma shaved ice so popular in the region. Kurokuma consists of a light brown flavored ice heaped high in a tall parfait glass. The source of the brown coloring is coffee, and the ice, flavored with condensed milk, is garnished with a refreshing coffee fragrance.

黎明館の中にあるビュッフェ・レストラン。お盆のランチ時だったので、混雑で順番待ちし、かつ相席でした。料理はヘルシーで種類も豊富。デザートも時間で違うものが出されたり、目移りしっ放しでした。お醤油屋さんのレストランということで、いろいろな醤油を試せたり、卵かけご飯のおいしい食べ方を示してくれていたり、新鮮でした。この日館内の展示は見ませんでしたが、駐車券にスタンプも押して頂けます。

The restaurant offers popular and economical pizza lunches during lunch service. During dinner service, the menu grows to include meat and oyster dishes baked in the brick oven. The restaurant even sells frozen pizzas that customers can casually enjoy at home.

일본 전국 체인점입니다. 이곳에서 간단히 점심을 해결했습니다. 가장 좋은 점은 역시 카레의 매운정도와 밥의 양, 토핑을 기호대로 선택할 수 있다는 것입니다. 전 이곳의 치킨카레에 치즈 토핑을 넣어 먹는 것을 좋아합니다. 누구가 먹을 수 있는 맛입닌다.

鹿児島にもいきなりステーキのお店がったので入ってみました。お昼の二時過ぎだったのですが、かなり混みあっていました。サーロインステーキ300ｇ食べましたが、なかなか美味しかったです。

Over 100 active volcanoes across Kagoshima make it one of the Japan's most exciting prefectures. The prefectural capital, Kagoshima city, looks out to one of the prefecture’s most spectacular volcanoes, Sakurajima, an island of its own that can be visited and seen close up or admired from afar, with the promise of breathtaking sunsets complete with frequent puffs of smoke and ash. Down the Satsuma Peninsula, the most southerly part of mainland Japan, waterfalls, sand onsen, and fascinating history await, while Kagoshima's abundance of satsuma imo (sweet potato) provide a wholesome snack as well as one of Japan's favourite drinks - shochu.
