- Miyazaki Hyuga-shi Hososhima
- "This lighthouse stands on Cape Hyuga at the entrance to Hososhima Port. Originally built of red brick in 1910, the current light house was rebuilt with white walls in 1941. The height from the surface of the sea to the center of the lighthouse is around 100 meters. The area around the modern-styled lighthouse is maintained as a beautiful observatory park, and from here visitors can enjoy spectacular, Kyushu-style tropical scenery worthy of Miyazaki. The Sea Cross is located nearby, a section of eroded reef so-named because it resembles the shape of a cross. According to legend, those who visit the lighthouse will have their wish granted, and in 2017 it was designated a ""Love Lighthouse"" by the Nippon Romantist Association."

- Miyazaki Hyuga-shi Hichiya
- This observatory, situated on top of Mt. Komenoyama, is located an 18-minute drive from Hyugashi Station. On clear days, visitors can take in a sweeping view of Hyuga City from the 192-meter-high peak. The mountain also serves as a base for paragliding, and many paragliders take off into the skies from here during the day. The observatory is also known for its night view, and many people from the city and beyond come to this popular from dusk and after to enjoy the sight. The observatory faces the sea, and accordingly visitors who want to take in the city's nightscape are recommended to do so from the observatory's parking lot rather than the observatory itself as it offers a better view.

Miyazaki Areas
An unmissable highlight of Kyushu, Miyazaki prefecture satisfies nature lovers with its dramatic gorges cut out of rugged cliffs, leading into waterfalls and beaches of green-blue water popular among surfers. Takachiho Gorge in the north of the prefecture tells a tale of centuries-old Japanese mythology in a fantastic setting, allowing visitors to explore the waters by boat before heading up to the cave at the Awano Iwato Shrine, where the sun goddess was said to have hidden, plunging the world into darkness.
