    About a 10-minute drive from the Nobeoka Station, This health and leisure facility is open year round. There is a current pool, a water slide, a children's pool, and a heated pool to be enjoyed during any season of the year. On the second floor is a game room, a lounge, and a massage room, while on the third floor is a bath, an infrared sauna, a weekly changing bath, reclining bath, and an outdoor bath. When you get hungry there is the all-you-can eat buffet restaurant, making this facility a great place for a family to spend a fun day.

  • Nobeoka Castle Ruins/Joyama Park

    "This flatland-mountain castle was built on a sandbar sandwiched between the Gokase River and Ose River in 1603 by Takahashi Mototane, the first lord of the domain. The highlight of the ruins is the ""1,000 enemy-killing"" stone base, so-called because it is said that the base would collapse and kill 1,000 enemies if one attempted to remove its stones. In addition to this 22 meter high imposing structure, there are also more than 300 cherry trees planted in the area, and in spring the castle ruins and surrounding park are practically covered with cherry blossoms. Other highlights include the Shiroyama Bell, which was used to notify the townspeople of the time from the Meiji period; and a monument inscribed with a poem by Bokusui Wakayama. Some 3,300 Japanese camellias spanning 108 varieties also grow on the grounds, making this one of the three largest Japanese camellia colonies in Japan. There are even academically rare varieties mixed in."

    This sandy beach is located approximately a three-minute walk from the Kanegahama bus stop. Known as a great surfing spot visited by surfers from inside and outside the prefecture, there are many sightings of famous celebrities. The biggest attraction is that you can enjoy surfing throughout the year, so several competitions are held there. It is also said to be the birthplace of surfing in Kyushu. You can swim for the month from late July to late August, and besides facilities such as showers and lockers, there is also an inn and campground nearby.

    This campsite is located beside the Ishinami River in Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture. Surrounded by trees, it is an area rich in nature and is entirely covered in lawn. It offers a large cooking area, showers and toilets. Access to shopping is good because of its location within the city and is a convenient campsite for new campers. In addition, visitors can enjoy swimming in Ishinami River. The campsite is open from July to September every year.

    This beach for sea bathing is in Kumanoe-machi Town, Nobeoka City. It has a sand beach extending 800 meters down and a very clear sea with tranquil waves. It is rarely crowded, so it is known as a good out-of-the-way beach. It is also used as the landing point for the hang gliders flying off from the Mt. Kagamiyama located to the northwest.

They hold events like the ""Flower Festival in Nobeoka"" in spring, and gardening classes as well."

    This museum was erected to preserve valuable cultural treasures, including those belonging to the Nara Shosoin Temple. The museum is an exact recreation of the Nara Shosoin based on blueprints and was created with cooperation from the Imperial Household Agency. Exhibits include a Tang dynasty bronze mirror which was excavated from the pedestal of the Great Buddha Hall at the Nara Todaiji. Visitors can come in contact with the history of the royalty of the Korean kingdom of Bakeje, who lived here in ancient times. In the adjoining Bakeje hall, visitors van view a life-sized recreation guesthouse which stands on the site of the royal palace in Buyeo. The museum also displays replicas of important cultural properties and national treasures from the Bakeje era.

    This auto camping site sprawls along the valley which follows the pure waters of the Mizushidani River in Nango. Enshrouded in abundant natural beauty, the grounds are replete with nine auto camping sites. The Kaigonto garden, planted with some 5,000 plum trees, is located nearby, and in most years visitors can enjoy the flowering trees around late February. Visitors can also fish yamame trout and minnows in the Mizushidani River. The campground is 50 minutes from the Hyuga Interchange on the Higashikyushu Expressway. The campground is open year round, but prospective customers must make an advance reservation.

In addition, the beach is the perfect place to go standup paddleboarding, which involves standing on a surfboard and paddling with an oar to move.

There's also a hot spring bathhouse, restaurant, roadside station, and sports facilities, and customers rave that here you can enjoy a wide variety of fun things to do. In addition, the campground offers a full array of rental equipment such as barbecue grill sets, table and chair sets, sleeping bags, and electric kettles.

    This swimming beach has been awarded five stars in each of the categories of water quality, facilities, and scenery, and it is said its waters are some of the clearest in Miyazaki Prefecture. Encircled by the natural beauty of rocks and forest, the beach has also been selected for inclusion in the Top 100 White Sand Beaches and Green Pine Groves of Japan and the Selection of Best 100 Beach lists compiled by the Ministry of the Environment. Another great thing about the beach is that it is outfitted with toilets, changing rooms, and shower rooms. The beach bustles during swimming season and year-round with people enjoying surfing and bodyboarding.

    This park is located a 15-minute drive from Hyugashi Station. Situated halfway up 192-meter-tall Mt. Komenoyama, the park boasts a 2.6 hectare grass lawn and offers a sweeping view of the deep blue Sea of Hyuga. An outdoor music dome is located in the park and is used to host events on weekends and holidays. As the mountain is also used as a paragliding practice ground, if you're lucky you may get to see paragliders taking off from the peak.

    This beach was selected for inclusion in the Japan's 100 Best Beaches list. The beach extends four kilometers north to south and consists of a continuous stretch of white sands and green pines. A swimming beach sprawling at the southern end is a renowned mecca for marine sports in Hyuga and is visited by large numbers of surfers from across the prefecture and beyond throughout the year. The area is also the only place in Japan where pieces for the Japanese game of go are made using common orient clam shell, and the white go pieces which are made from the beach's orient clams, known as Suwabute clams, are highly valued. Happily, the beach is replete with free parking, hot water showers, and toilets.

    美郷町の石峠レイクサイドはプールとかコテージもある温泉施設です。私は大雨のあとでせっかくの川景色も濁流でしたが、晴れている時はさぞかし景色も清々しいだろうと思いました。お風呂は温泉だけど循環式で、少し柔らかめの泉質でした。サウナは2つあり、テレビがあるのは1つだけ。水風呂もそれぞれあります。露天風呂も気持ちが良くて、清潔でいい温泉施設でした。子供がいたら、さぞかし楽しかろうとおもいますよ。
