- A farm located in Tano, Kokonoe Town, Kusu County. The farm has a petting zoo where visitors can feed animals kept at the farm, a hot spring bath facility with baths constantly replenished “kakenagashi” style, a blueberry farm, and a shop selling the harm’s milk and agricultural products. Visitors can go blueberry picking or take a tethered horseback ride, and the adjoining large restaurant serves set meals and yakiniku Japanese barbecue featuring Bungo beef and local chicken.

- Tomato Farm

- Oita Kusu-gun Kusumachi Tobata 8715-1
- At this tourist farm, a 10-minute drive from the Amagase-Takatsuka Interchange on the Oita Expressway, you can pick fruit tomatoes in a greenhouse. Engaging in soil, water, and pest management, the farm grows fruit tomatoes which balance sweetness and tartness. Tomatoes are picked after they ripen, resulting in tomatoes which are flavorful and plump. Tomato picking season is from January to around mid-May and reservations are required on weekdays. Visitors can take their time, making this a great destination even for families with children. From mid-August to the end of September, the farm grows Kyoho grapes and sells them, fresh picked that morning, direct.

Oita Areas
A trip to Oita is tantamount to a long soak in the Beppu baths. The mountainous, coastal prefecture of Oita is renowned for having more onsen than any other prefecture in Japan, most of which lie in the city of Beppu on the west coast of Kyushu, recognizable by its pungent sulphuric aroma and the clouds of steam that puff up across the hillside. Away from the Beppu hot springs await mountains, waterfalls, and temples, so don’t hesitate to explore Oita a little further.
