The station’s restaurant serves rice bowls topped with Japanese beef and soba noodles made with Yufuin buckwheat and hot spring water.

    This attraction is convenient for cars travel along the highways and make short stopover for refreshments, food and souvenirs. Quite popular in view of prices of merchandizes sold here.

    国道10号線、中津市加来の上り線側にある平成26にできた比較的新しい道の駅です。駐車場も広く、大型車用の駐車場も完備されていました。地場産品の販売所や飲食店もありましたが、平均的な道の駅だと思います。

    小さな道の駅でしたが海を見渡せる綺麗な景色を見ることができる道の駅でした。展望台が壊れていて立ち入り禁止だった点は残念でしたが海岸まで駐車場から降りることができた点はよかったです。食事処は小さいしちょっと食べるのは抵抗があるな…という雰囲気でした。トイレ休憩には良いと思います。

Equipped with a farmer’s market and restaurant, the station offers local fruits and vegetables as well as dishes such as a bite-sized deer steak set meal. The station’s karaage Japanese fried chicken, available for takeout, is also popular. The station is adjoined by the Utagenka no Sato Ume Camp Village campground.

    The tendon (tempura) was quite good and most of the dishes were very decent. Menu includes the local boar and deer which was interesting for us.

    大分市内から豊後大野方面に向かう国道326号線沿いにある道の駅です。ちょっと施設は古いのですが、駐車場は広くゆっくりとできます。高台にあるこの場所から眺める大野川と田園風景は、一度観る価値がありますよ。竹田や久住高原方面に向かう途中に寄ってみましょう。

    国道57号線を竹田方面へドライブしたときにお昼で利用しました。57号線が高速のようになっていて、ここの道の駅がSAのような役割になっていて、この道路を通るときには便利な存在です。道の駅の建物内の施設で、物産販売の奥にあり、混雑するとやや狭いです。テーブル席と一部座敷席になっています。だんご汁を注文しました。料理はそんなに悪くないと思います。

Situated at the start of a trail leading up the Kuju Mountains, the house sells souvenirs, mountain climbing gear, and emergency supplies and also has a shop serving light meals and drinks. The house makes a great place to take a break when mountain climbing or going on a scenic drive through the area.

    久住山登山後の至福の一杯はホットミルク、ジャージー牛でした。売店の横の休憩スペースでゆったりと。下ってきたのが10:00頃、駐車場は満車で車が溢れてましたが、此処は貸切状態でした。山頂付近の紅葉は終わってましたが駐車場場近辺から上は今が盛りでした。

    栗の季節になったので道の駅慈恩の滝くすに行ってみました。栗のサイズは決して大きくはなかったですが200gぐらい?が200円で安かったので買いました。ここの支払は現金のみのようでクレジットカードや電子決済は使用できませんでした。
