    This Italian restaurant, a 50-minute drive from the Kokonoe Interchange on the Oita Expressway, is located on the Senomoto Highlands sprawling at the foot of Mt. Aso. On highlands bearing the scent of Tuscany in the air, customers can enjoy cuisine which harnesses the flavors of fresh, high quality ingredients. The restaurant's lunch meals, which come with soup and salad, are particularly popular, and include pizza with a handmade crust and fresh mozzarella cheese from Italy. The restaurant's dinner courses are reservation only; made with an abundance of seasonal ingredients, their content varies by time of year. The restaurant also stocks an abundant selection of primarily Italian wines.

    サーラカリーナ瀬の本店 当日だったのでコースは間に合わないと言うことでしたので事前にお電話でおすすめの物をお願いしました。アラカルトで前菜、パスタ、メイン料理、デザートを頂きました。アラカルトは初めてでしたが、いつもよりボリュームがあり、ダイナミックで お味も大変良く作られていました。

    This restaurant and inn was built to serve as a base for enjoying touring the area's public bathhouses. Located a 25-minute drive from JR Bungo-Taketa Station, the establishment stands right in front of the Ganiyu bath, symbol of Nagayu Onsen. The first floor is a restaurant, while lodgings are on the second floor. The establishment takes great pride in its enoha landlocked masu salmon cuisine, such as its famous karaage deep fried salmon and staple shioyaki salmon grilled with salt. Its enoha dishes are made using whole enoha salmon raised in spring water which are dressed to order. The Matsu Course meal is particularly popular and comes with a seasonal hors d'oeuvre, chawanmushi savory egg custard, enoha karaage, and rare enoha chazuke tea over rice. The Ganiyu Udon Teishoku meal is also recommended and comes with udon noodle soup topped with a whole Japanese blue crab deep-fried tempura style after it has molted.

    This day-use hot spring bathhouse can be reached by heading south down Prefectural Route 28 from the Shigiranakaya-mae bus stop; the bathhouse will be visible on the left-hand side. Situated near Utsukushi Valley, Gunkan Rock, the Hisashi Momiji, and other tourist attractions, the bathhouse also has parking, making it conveniently accessible by car. In addition to men's and women's indoor bathing areas, the bathhouse also has a mixed bathing outdoor bath where bathers can enjoy a relaxing soak along with a view of the beautiful valley immediately in front. The bathhouse is also adjoined by the Wakayama soba restaurant, which serves yamakake soba noodles with grated yam, and sansai udon noodles with edible wild plants.

The establishment offers full meal and dessert menus and is also a great place to have lunch. Menu highlights include a homemade tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese galette made with fresh vegetables grown in Yufuin and cheese from a famous Yufuin cheese workshop. For dessert, the restaurant offers sweet galettes such as a salted butter caramel galette, as well as non-galette desserts like Yufuin blueberry pancakes.

    中心街から少し離れますが、見つけられます。サラダガレットがとても大きくて二人用かとびっくりました。大満足です。ヨーグルトアイスも大きくておいしそうでした。

    Need to walk up hill. It is located nearby the lake. We ordered beef yakiniku and crab croquette set. They are superb. The price is reasonable. The view is also stunning. Low traffic which is good...

    佐伯駅から少し歩いた幹線道路沿い。メニューは九州にたくさんあるジョイフルの他店と同じ。鶏天定食をいただく。鶏天が大分県の料理だからか知らないが、おいしく感じた。夜に良心的な価格で食べられるのは、やっぱりありがたい。

A trip to Oita is tantamount to a long soak in the Beppu baths.
