This hot spring spa is in Tamana City. The weak alkaline simple hot spring water is clear and colorless, has a velvety feel, and is known for its beautifying properties. The large public bathing area has a dry sauna and five baths including a one made of hinoki cypress. There is also reservable private baths and a variety of relaxation services like aromatherapy and massage.

This museum looks at Tamana and how it has grown alongside its major river. In addition to a standing exhibition and special exhibitions, the museum holds educational activities such as making ancient magatama stone jewels, and a museum quiz rally (in general, such activities require an advance reservation for a group of 10 or more people). The museum's standing exhibition is divided into three parts - the golden age of the Heki clan (ancient times), the age of overseas trade (medieval times), and the age of cargo vessels and the Takase Okura - and visitors can learn how modern-day Tamana City came to be from a variety of angles. The museum can be identified by its 16 huge display towers on the roof.

"This facility consists of a tourist information center and history museum dedicated to ""Kusamakura,"" one of writer Natsume Soseki's most celebrated works. Here visitors can learn about the history behind the novel and the Maedake family through exhibits and informational panels. ""Kusamakura"" was based on Soseki's trip to Oama Onsen and the Maedake Bettei, a local hot spring inn now nicknamed the ""Soseki Inn,"" even makes an appearance in the novel. After restoration work was completed in 2004, the Maedake Bettei, excluding the main building were made open to the general public, and today, everyone who comes here can easily view the detached lodging and bath in which Soseki stayed."

Located in Tamana City, this noodle shop's ramen has a delicate flavor; that's quite popular. Its features a thick and rich tonkotsu pork bone stock made with carefully selected water. Even so, it's light on the palate and just salty enough to bring out the savoriness. The noodles are made with local wheat and have a firm texture.

This ramen shop is located in Tamana City. It's a great spot to try Tamana ramen, a local favorite in the tradition of rich flavored Kurume ramen. It features a pork bone broth with a layer of oil floating on it, topped with charred garlic. It's a hit with ramen fans in the battleground of Tamana ramen.
