In total, the bathhouse has 13 unique bathing areas, including the Aitetsu no Yu, which bears a theme based on the popular folktale Bunbuku Chagama; the ""Tale of the Bamboo Cutter""-themed Geppaku no Yu; and the Hisui no Yu, which has a spacious Shigaraki ware outdoor bath. The bathhouse is supplied with water from a strongly alkaline simple springs considered one of the best in Kyushu. The waters of this spring are said to treat nerve pain and joint pain, keep the body warm long after your bath, and leave your skin smooth and soft."

The lightly colored water has a reputation for helping heal cuts and alleviate nerve pain, as well as improving gastrointestinal disorders when consumed. The sodium hydrogen carbonate chloride spring is known for the fine bubbles that collect on the skin, leaving it silky smooth. Sengetsu Shuzo next door manufactures and sells authentic shochu Japanese spirits.
