An observatory located on Mt. Yumiharidake in Ono-cho, Sasebo City. Visitors can get a sweeping view of the natural beauty of the Kujuku Islands and the Goto Sea, as well as Sasebo City to the east and Sasebo Port to the south. In the evening, visitors can take in the glittering cityscape and isaribi firelight lure fishing; in spring, cherry blossoms blooming in profusion in the area.

Walked to the top from the Navy base on a rainy day, I wasnt blessed with the view looking down but I still loved the location.

Located along Route 35 in Mikawachi Honmachi, Sasebo City, this museum exhibits excellent works of Mikawachi Pottery, a traditional craft with a 400-year history from the early Edo period to contemporary artists, and offers hands-on activities such as painting and openwork carving. The museum is also adjacent to the Sasebo City Utsuwa Historical Museum, where visitors can learn about the history of Sasebo pottery, including Mikawachi ware.

佐世保線三河内駅近くにあります。車利用で佐世保に行ったので立ち寄りました。江戸-明治時代の白磁の作品や現代作家の作品が展示されています。三川内焼の名作を多く拝見させていただきました。しかも入館無料でした。絵付け・透かし彫り体験などもできますが、10名以上での申し込みとなっていたので断念しました。素朴な感じの焼き物に魅力を感じました。

"A roadside station situated along Prefectural Route 109 in Kozakimen Takashima-cho, Matsuura City. The station sells local specialty products, including local agricultural products and seafood; foods made with the area's famous Japanese pufferfish; and ""Takashima Castella"" cakes made with sweet spring, a citrus fruit grown on Takashima which is a hybrid between satsuma mandarins and Hassaku oranges. The station's restaurant serves fresh sashimi and Japanese pufferfish set meals, Takashima chanpon noodle, and the ""Otokomeshi"" rice bowl topped with local seafood."

道の駅に隣接して小さな食堂まつばらがあります。平日の午後2時すぎだったのでガラガラでした。人気メニューの鷹島ちゃんぽん780円とまぐろ特盛丼1900円を注文ちゃんぽんはあっさりしているけど魚介の味がしっかり出ていてとっても美味しくスープを飲み干してしまいました。、マグロ丼は大トロ入りでとっても美味しかったです。今回は雨模様の2月だったので次回、夏に訪れたいなと思いました。

Located along Route 35 in Mikawachi Honmachi, Sasebo City, this museum exhibits materials related to the history of pottery in Sasebo from the Jomon Period to modern times, including an introduction to the production process of Mikawachi Pottery, a traditional craft, and a replica of the world's oldest earthenware vessel with bean grain patterns, discovered in the Senpukuji Cave in the same city. The museum is also adjacent to the Sasebo Shikisaikan, which sells a variety of local specialties, and the Mikawachi Pottery Museum, which exhibits Mikawachi Pottery works.

This is the general name for the 208 islands in an area covering approximately 25 kilometers from outside Sasebo Port to Hirado. Although it has the highest island density in Japan, only four of them are inhabited, and most of the coastline is preserved as is. There is the Kujuku Island aquarium Umikirara that reproduces the sea of the Kujuku Islands, observation facilities and a cruise ship, and besides being able to come into contact with rich nature such as the complex topography of the rias coast and sea life, you can also enjoy seafood including Kujuku Island oysters and activities like sea kayaking.
