"This roadside station is located in Sonogishukugo, Higashisonogi Town, Higashisonogi County along National Route 205. Besides selling produce and specialty products such as the well-known ""Sonogi-cha (green tea),"" it also provides meals such as ""Dago-jiru"" using whale meat. It is also adjacent to the prefecturally-designated historic site ""Hisagozuka Kofun (ancient tomb)"" and the Higashisonogi Town Folk History Museum."

Centered on the dome-shaped tent ""Mikan Dome,"" it sells juice and sherbet using specialty mikan oranges, processed products such as ""Saikai Fuka"" pancakes stuffed with mikan jelly, and hand-baked bread baked at the workshop in the dome. It also conducts soba buckwheat noodle and breadmaking workshops (reservations required). In addition, there are also direct sales shops selling local vegetables and fish and sweets shops near the dome."

Nagasaki Areas

This hidden corner of the country is rural Japan at its best, where underground activity is to thank for active volcanoes and bubbling natural hot springs along the Shimabara Peninsula as well as the crystal clear waters of the Goto Islands off the west coast. Less well known than Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park, Nagasaki commemorates its own past at the Nagasaki Peace Park, which sits alongside the charming Meganebashi stone bridge and a mix of religious buildings with beautiful architecture, such as the Zen Buddhist Sofukuji Temple, the Confucian Shrine, and the Oura Christian Church.
