    This souvenir store adjoins the Orange Bay hotel a 50-minute drive from Taira Port and the Isahaya Interchange. In addition to seafood products like iriko dried sea slug and onsen tsukudani soy sauce boiled preserved foods, the shop mainly sells foods which make use of local ingredients, such as jams made with tomatoes and carrots. Well-known confections such as Jaga Pies and Yusembei biscuits are also popular. There's also an area where you can find cheap, old fashioned Japanese dagashi snacks and sweets. This hidden corner of the country is rural Japan at its best, where underground activity is to thank for active volcanoes and bubbling natural hot springs along the Shimabara Peninsula as well as the crystal clear waters of the Goto Islands off the west coast.
